To upgrade the NIC driver for Windows 98 and
Windows Me, perform the following steps:
The
Update Device Driver Wizard window appears.
To complete
reinstallation of the Windows 2000 NIC driver, perform the following steps:
1.
Right-click the My
Network Places icon, click Properties.
2.
Right-click the Local
Area Connection icon, click Properties.
3.
Click Configure, click the Driver tab, click Update Driver.
4.
Select Display a list of known drivers….., and click Next, and then click Have Disk.
5.
Use the Browse button to point to the directory
the driver was extracted to. (i.e. c:\dell\drivers\….)
6.
Click Open on the default filename selected,
and click OK, and NEXT, and NEXT to install the driver.
When complete, close the Adapter Properties window and click Yes to restart.
To complete reinstallation of the Windows NT
4.0 NIC driver, perform the following steps:
NOTE: If you are installing networking on your system
for the first time, the Windows NT operating system displays a message asking
if you want to install networking. Click Yes, and refer to your Windows
NT documentation for instructions.
